External Photography

External Eye Photography is photography of the external structures of the eye and surrounding anatomy without the aid of a microscope. Performed mostly for documentation, the images of external disorders of the eye are used to follow the regression or progression of disease and to document anatomical variations and abmormalities for publication and teaching.

Motility Photographs are external photographs of both eyes together which are taken with the patient in very specific directions of gaze. These photographs demonstrate a patients ability to move their eyes in various directions. They are used to document problems with the muscles that move the eye and other disorders which might obstruct or restrict eye movement.
