Volumes 1:1 (January 1978) through 19:2 (October 1997):
The early volumes of the Journal were scanned at 400 dpi, then converted with Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software into PDF files for distribution via the web. While the layout of these pages closely resembles the original articles, OCR and formatting errors may result in some inaccuracy in the content of these issues. We have chosen to tolerate these small errors in favor of providing articles that download quickly, can be searched, and from which the text can be copied and pasted into other documents.

Volumes 19:3 through present:
Since December 1997, the Journal was produced with software that permitted direct generation of PDF files. These Journal issues appear accurately on the web with the same layout and design in which they were originally published.

The size of the PDF files in kilobytes is noted in the link. Adobe Acrobat 5 or greater must be loaded on your machine to view these files.
